Close Encounter UFO

The mulit-colored star
Lars Staal and his close encounter?- Ha! A true close encounter mystery if there ever was one. I don’t know where he came from originally, it could have been Denmark or Germany, or even North America. You couldn’t really tell by his mannerisms or English for there wasn't any national or regional dialect to pick up on.
What our purpose was standing in that field with binoculars is even a little hazy now. The air was crisp and the stars were bright and numerous when he handed them to me. “Look at that one there, flashing colors,” he said as I followed his point while raising the glasses up.
After focusing the bino's magnification I gazed upon what appeared to be a star pulsing forth blue, green and red light. "Yeah,” I replied," "I see it." He replied back with, “What do you think?”
After what was maybe four or five seconds my quizzical answer was, “I dunno know Lars, possibly light reflection? It is a bit bizarre looking." Then, after several more seconds he said, “ Oh no my friend, it is one of theirs.”
As I lowered the binoculars, gathering the thoughts for a question or two of my own, he gently laid a hand upon my shoulder and said, “Come on comrade, lets go sit by the fire and have a beer or two, I want to tell you a story."
Lar's begins his story
It all began for Lars in his sleep..He'd never really had an interest in anything concerning any beguiling mysteries like UFOs outside of reading a book or two in passing. No, the topic was not something his mind ever pondered with much seriousness, which made the beginnings of what he called"The Noise" all the more perplexing.
Before Lars began his story, he suggested I go retrieve a pen and blank note-book from the equipment stored in the jeep. As I settled back in to the folding chair, Lars began his story.
Starting in 1983 he began to be bothered by a cacophony of metallic and electrical type sounds in his sleep that would build up into a crescendo of dis-jointed noise so intense he thought his head would explode. Every time though, just when it felt as if he could take no more, he awoke.
An even stranger thing was that for no reason he could discern, he always- though only for a short time, which was soon forgotten - had the thought impulse to imagine these were E.T.s attempting some kind of contact.
The eerie disturbances eventually ceased and Lars placed them on the back-burners in his memory where we often store things unpleasant. I asked my associate if there was any reason why such an event might happen.
In a lowered voice he half-mumbled, "Europe" and "surveillance" but by the following silence it was obvious this was not something he wanted to discuss further, and so left any other questions in that direction alone.
"The Noise" had not bothered him for several years and life went on as normal; until one day in September of 1989 the news broke world-wide that a UFO had landed in a park in Voronich, Russia.
Lars said when he read about and saw the story on the television news and tabloid shows it was like a dark veil had been lifted from his consciousness and bright sun-light had entered. From then on out the subject of UFOs and Aliens rarely left his thoughts.
Lar's ufo encounter continues
He immediately stared buying UFO magazines and took out several books from his local library, anything really, he could find on the mysterious subject; he also started listening to any radio shows that were covering the topic.
At the time he said the info with it's speculations ran the gamut from people eating Gray type aliens to the more or less benevolent so-called Aryan human kind, often reported- somewhat confusingly- in concert with the Grays. The information he got initially developed into or rather caused some feelings of fear and paranoia.
These emotions and thoughts only increased after Lars called on old acquaintance he knew from past associations, that might know something that would be helpful in sorting out this puzzling mystery; or perhaps increase his knowledge on things concerning it. The call was an over- seas one and he related to me he knew it was being tapped by the synchronized clicks on the phone line.
Sure enough, the next morning bright and early, an official looking car pulled up right in front of his apartment. A thirty-ish looking young man in a well tailored suit and tie exited the car with a confident smile on his face.
Lars was already jumpy from the night before and watched from the side of the window blinds as the gentleman with his self assured demeanor knocked on the door. His inner voice told him not to answer and when it became clear to the man outside no one was going to come to the door his countenance changed to disgust and he cursed under his breath.
Whoever he was, Lars said the unknown man left and he never had anything similar happen again. In another lowered voice I heard the words, "axis" and "point of contact" or something to that effect, but again could tell it was not something he wanted to delve into.
It very quickly- especially after the major media began reporting on the crop circles in England- got to the point where Lars would go out into a big field beside his home, always followed by an ever faithful Siamese cat- lay himself flat on the ground, for hours, in all kinds of weather, and mentally will a UFO to come down and show it's self.
Nothing of the sort ever happened to my companion; that is until he moved to a new town.
Night Awe
"One day", Lars went on," I came home from work". When was this I interjected? He thought a moment or two and replied that it was either in late September or early October 1992. "For some strange reason, I did something I rarely do."
It turned out he stayed near his truck listening to the music on the radio. His wife at the time said she would keep his supper warm for when he came in. "It didn't seem long, until six o'clock had turned to nine o'clock.
And then it happened." "What Lars, what happened?" I asked as he fell into several moments of silence. "I found myself in the front yard with a frightened cat running back and forth in a straight line as if on a yardstick." "Holy sheet, what next?" I remember asking. " I could also hear the cows in a nearby pasture mooing their throats out."
The next thing that happened-- and this he didn't realize until later was not of his own free will-- was his head turning to the right and angling up. There he saw an unearthly sight that literally dropped his jaw.
A UFO, which Lars described as being about a hundred feet long, almost half again as wide, with what appeared to be a sparkle-like trail behind it. I believe he said, and I wrote it down correctly, that it was silent and traveling at perhaps twenty or twenty-five miles per hour.
It also had undulating edges with a light emanation the likes of which he'd never seen before. The object was near tree top height and no more than three- hundred feet from him.The observable surface was also half covered by a grayish mist or fog. The sighting lasted around five or six seconds before it's disappearance over a nearby patch of woods.
He was almost as incredulous as his wife when he told her but the next morning the local news reported on it and asked the question,"What unknown object flew through the skies of Cleveland County last night?" The object had been seen entering the sky by a church group as they were leaving a Wednesday night service, only five or six miles from Lar's house.
Close Encounter UFO Drawing
And I was blamed
We discussed this startling event a while longer; Lars even got an 8x11 sheet of paper from his new brief-case in the jeep and drew a picture of it which he told me to keep.
After a while we briefly talked on some other things, but it was very hard, no, I couldn't really concentrate on anything else. I also began to take a renewed interest in that star. The conversations finally went silent and I drifted off into a light sleep.
During this short nap an amazing dream happened that had Lars Staal smiling at me from a few feet away. I can't recall what was said between us, except at the end, right before I came to; and that was Lars saying he had to leave and waving good-by.
To conclude this mysterious close encounter UFO story, suffice to say on awakening my comrade had vanished, never to be seen by anyone ever again. And I was blamed for the disappearance by everyone: our employers, his family, and the authorities who put me through the ringer, everyone, before the investigation went elsewhere, that is, absolutely nowhere.

Alastar you tell the most amazing and intriguing stories I have ever had the privilege to read, I hope you do write a book as I would be one of the first to go and buy it for sure, honestly, top votes my friend again and all the best, mark.
Good work
As ever, since I have no proof against the existence of extraterrestrials, I will not deny the possibility, and am entirely willing to find out that they are indeed there. As ever, if I've had any experiences in the matter, I've been too preoccupied to realize it. Always searching, though!
Good story Alastar. I had all of our neighbors out one night looking at some crazy lights in the sky. Never did find out what caused them. My husband has kidded me about it ever since. Who knows??? Up and interesting votes.
Alastar, Thank you for the warm wishes. A part of my heart remains in the Midwest, but I am now on the east coast where I had to "rough it" last week, beginning with the season's only snowstorm on Sunday, followed by a short on the power pole which wiped out all major appliances and heat for the rest of the week. Br-r-r! I'll remember you to the stars tonight; they already know us but they don't mind the reminders.
Alastar, I'm reviving that practice, effective tonight. The sky was overcast last week, but the stars are back. Thanks for the reminder of wishing on a star.
Kind regards, Stessily
Lars Staal --- Oops! Excuse me, I meant Alastar!
Thank you for reminding me of "When you wish upon a star" from Pinocchio. I've been saying, "Star light, star bright, First star I see tonight, I wish I may, I wish I might, Have the wish I wish tonight."
Thanks for reminding me of my double-whammy star wishing formula from childhood; I remember now that I always liked to use the Pinocchio song together with the "Star light" nursery rhyme back then.
Alastar, Clever partial anagram but I got it and I love its cleverness: Lars Staal = Alastar with extra L and S!
I've begun wishing upon Lars' star so I know that I'll sense its guidance at the right time.
Thanks again for sharing this tale which is greater than it may seem at first glance.
Kind regards, Stessily
Alastar, You've created a compelling, mysterious character in Lars Staal. Or perhaps you're finessing someone you know, perhaps even your alter ego? It's a fine story, and I hope some day to see Lars' star for I'm sure that it will open new worlds for me; it certainly has for you!
Well done. Entertaining throughout.
You don"t see the huge left eye? Also like rocks in a mouth below that. Under text, not with other photos.
Oh I do get mad but I get over it once I scream. The hub is up and I took out the info of all the information I could not know on my own and put a link, I wasn't about to wait until they decided to look it back over and decide to publish it. Although I did lose several points.
Force fed means my husband goes to sleep by this stuff and I am forced to listen to it while he sleeps lol and I heard all that about the 32,000 years last night, proven now they claim and saw so many cute artifacts so I am kinda getting force to be interested. I am interested in all non-fiction programs though, whatever it is. History Channel I think, ancient aliens. The hub is up if you haven't checked yet, last photo, although I hope you will check them all out.
Oh, didn't get back soon enough to add something odd is in my photography. I already told you about the UFO pic I took but so many of my photos have eyes and one I added at the end of my new hub that has been called a duplicate and I am waiting to have it published. I know satan is at hubs for sure. Take a look at that picture though, I didn't see it until weeks after I took it. I cut it down so it would be hard for someone to steal and am surprised someone is not claiming my pictures. That is the really bad thing about being here. I don't visit and lie to people I don't like for points and I don't take BS from anyone. I won't win any popularity contest I am sure, but at least I will know my friends are real, and I pretty much know who my enemies are. Just glad I am on the winning side and after this today I have about decided to not write for money here, I have my own blog I can run out to and my other ventures are so stress free and look to be far more profitable. So anyway, when it clears, take a look at that last picture, it is amazing. I may take portions of some others later and share.
Well, strangely enough this comes at a time when I have been force fed undeniable information about unexplained drawings, arts that look like our today versions of extraterrestrials, etc from cities undersea that turns out to be 32,000 + years old as is claimed by the same people, outdoing science who claimed it couldn't be more than 8000. How time matters I have no idea except to make liars of know it all's. To me it is quite interesting but it could be spiritual as were the giants, the gods who knew women, satanic things that many do not want to believe because they would have to believe the Godly part.
I think it was a story you told...but a very good one.
By the way- I did enjoy the hub! ;-)
Lars Staal hmmmm---Could you and him possibly be one in the same Alastar? :-) Personally I have had my share of interesting experiences in seeing things flying in the night sky. Would I blame UFO's? Well I just have a hard time believing there are "ALIENS" (ugly creatures) out there. I think that if GOD did create humans in another galaxy far away (since he created us in his image and so it makes sense to think that they would also be like us) that he has his reasons for us not having contact with them yet. We have no idea what is out there beyond our reach and comprehension. I try to imagine that if and when GOD chooses for us to know them (if they exist) then one day we will. I for one believe that the foul experiences some have should be blamed by another darker force that inhabits the earthly realm seeking to deceive us. Remember that if the fallen can plant a seed of doubt in our minds about GOD and creation then they have done their job. By tricking the world into thinking these aliens exist and that they do experiments on people to be in fear and think that our world and other civilizations were built by visiting space men and not by what we are taught in the bible that can make people doubt GOD and the bible. It can stumble some and eventually some throw God out of the picture alltogether. That is my opinion but I respect everyones beliefs.
Hi Alastar,
No problem and I look forward to reading more of your work.
Hi Alastar - I'll apologise in advance for the length of this response as I feel my brain racing after reading this extraordinary hub - it was wonderful!!!
I agree with LuckyCats, it's a real life event written into the form of a story to make it more acceptable. And Oh Sh**** what a story!!! Excuse my language!!
One of the things I picked up on early on in the narrative was the reference to 'Europe' and 'surveillance'. I may be on the totally wrong track here, but the reason my ears pricked up was because of a few guys, who have been Remote Viewers for the military and who have - most in secret - stated that through their work they encountered UFO's and ET. They later went on to have more experiences even when they were not involved in RV. Many explained that when they encountered the UFO/ET's they were not solid, but seemed to have the ability to change from one state to another -like moving inter-dimensionally. These guys also said that there own state of consciousness seemed to shift, although they were still alert and knew what was happening.
The drawing is quite startling to me even although I have seen a number of sketches and even beautiful artistic interpretations of UFOs. But the sketch with the UFO over the house has a very strong resemblance to my own experience.
The most intense experience I had of this nature - and I honestly don't know why I'm being so brave here, because I have related this to very, very few people. Anyway, the experience occurred not over my house, but over Dunmore hill and the woods about one mile from my home. Again it was in the dream-state. The night was extraordinary, thousands of stars, but they started to move. One came closer and stopped directly over-head. And as with the red-lights of the previous account - these lights seemed to be communicating. The colours were lilacs/blues/pinks/purples but no ordinary colours they were exceptionally vivid and beautiful. I felt no fear whatsoever but was so sad when they went, almost like I had lost someone, very odd.
This wonderful hub of yours just brought back all of these amazing memories of my own. There are theories that 'they' are walking among us? Who knows? I think the problem with this subject is that it kicks people so far out of their boxed life that it is just too much to accept for many. I remember one account given by an American military pilot in the early 1950's who piloted cargo and passengers for the army. Anyway, his plane encountered an awesome UFO. At one point they thought it was going to crash into them, but it didn't. His co-pilot and navigator also saw it. The pilot went back to make sure his three passengers were okay. One was a medical doctor.
The pilot asked
"Doc, did you see what we just saw?"
The Doctor answered
"Yes. It was a UFO. I didn't look at it because I don't believe in such things."
So I think this probably sums up most people's approach to this subject. For me and others - and perhaps yourself Alastar - we don't have that luxury of being able to bury our heads in the sand. We are not alone. They are here and have been for thousands of years. This is a crazy statement to make and I can appreciate if many other folks say 'what a load of crap' - I can't really say I blame them for having this attitude. It is so weird - but it's real!
Keep writing these beautiful hubs of yours, because I think in this way, this subject just might be more palatable for the majority of folks. Many, many thanks for sharing!! S7
Alastar. man, I loved this story. This Lars guy is very mysterious for sure. I think UFO's are real even though I've never seen one. I know someone who did and I think I would like to see one too, although I'm not very brave. thanks for a great hub.
Voted up and awesome! I've never really been into the whole UFO thing, but I definitely believe they exist and that many people have encountered them. Great story here, truly!
dude, this story was awesome. I'm not sure whether I'm going with fact or fiction becuase deep down inside I think it's fact but a little part of me wants to go with fiction! You got me thinking a lot about this Alastar.great hub!
excellent point... i will read it again
I googled -"Lars Staal UFO DISAPPEARANCE" and got zip!
So,while I don't belive that a person by that name within this story exists or was taken somewhere by a UFO.I do believe that life exists in most if not all planets.Maybe even Suns or stars interiors.
If,water exists underground or even under the oceans which is possible concidering the earth is about 8,000 miles in diameter. The Earth may be hollow as well have life within it.
Agartha and Shambola may very well exist.
Hitler and the Nazi's thought so.
Hitler and the Nazi's also had contact with UFO's I hear.
Then there are those individuals we call contactees.
Perhaps they are! That doesn't mean they aren't being used for a neferious purpose.
The only way to know that is to see if they value free will or not.

This was a very engaging story. I like how you blended personal narrative within your Alien encounter. Good work
oh my gosh Alastar! I want to say this is fact, but kind of hoping it's fiction. I'll admit I'm a little scared of thinking there are other planets occupied and that we have been visited! I just hope if there is other life out there, they ARE friendly and we could live in harmony with them. great hub!
Alastar,
It is truly amazing what our minds can focus on and believe! Guided imagery is a great example-- I unconsciously used it for much of 46 long hours, so I will cast my vote that if one believes they saw a UFO, maybe they did?
No matter what, this is superbly penned and I am hereby calling it a modern day "The Little Prince". Your writing style is compelling, and I understand why epi's jaw was on the floor! {I trust he was not injured in the process!} Voted UP & AB... Thanks, mar!
Awesome write up. Very neat!!!
rorshak sobchak
A great hub Alaster and thanks for sharing.
I am open minded about UFOs but I loved this hub, your obvious hard work certainly paid off.
Great work and here's to many more hubs to share.
Take care
Eiddwen.
Another interesting and entertaining hub Alastar. I have always wondered about aliens and silently questioned whether those who stoically defend their belief in them are faking it or not. I'm open-minded though and want to believe there is other life out there, so these kind of stories always fascinate me!
Good stuff again my friend. By the way, I'm very impressed with your hubpages stats, you have done incredibly well considering you are fairly new to this town. Well done!
Take Care Alastar. :) Rich
I think it is fiction Alastar, but either way it is a very good story! It was both exciting and interesting! But on the other side there are many things we don't know about the universe, so who knows? I cant see the ghosts that some of my friends can see and feel, and who am I to tell them they are wrong!
I like this hub very much, it is great and I enjoyed reading it! Up and awesome!
Tina
Very intriguing!
What a great story. When I was a boy I used to look up at the sky and pray for aliens to come and take me with them and show me the cosmos. I can believe that this is a true story and if it is then you probably are still in communication with Lars and maybe it will be you turn one day to hitch a ride to the galaxy!
Thank you for a great read and your has earned you another follower.
Voted up and awesome!
some people will call me crazy, but I believe in God and UFOs, so there you go!One day we may find out more about our "neighbors", but can we handle it" As usual, your story was very well written and kept my interest throughout! I say fact- but wonder "where did he go?"
...well I went to work last night - and someone yelled over at me and said "hey dummy your jaw is sitting on your feet" - and I laughed sheepishly and said "yeah I just got finished reading ALASTAR PACKER and he has that kind of affect on me" - lol lol -
I would like you to hook up with two hub budddies if you could - and likewise them with you - one is new writer here - KBOWDEN , and the other A.K.A PROFESSOR MIKE (could be the wrong title name - but just check my hubspace for his avatar - he has a picture of a cat)
....love your taste in music - who are some of your other favorites ?
She was very wise, Alastar. I may be able to read them both now - I'm a lot braver than I used to be...lol I will have to look for both.
The written word is certainly amazing, and I'm so grateful that I've been blessed with a little bit of ability to articulate in that medium. :-) I'll check out Majestic and let you know what I think.
Hey, Alastar and hello, Ms. Tey. No, I admit that I haven't read anything else in that genre, Alastar. Whitley scared me silly apparently...lol But, I'd certainly be much more open to it today, I believe. Shoot, I might even hit the library and grab Communion to see what I think.
I may check out Jeffrey Carver as well. My husband is beginning to work on my love/hate relationship with Sci-Fi. He started with Orson Scott Card.
Alastar, I grew up in a home where anything containing the written word was loved and respected. I swear I'm like Scout Finch and I've been reading since I was born. I don't remember a day in my life where I haven't spent at least a few minutes with my nose in a book.
My mother was also a seeker...she's the one who brought Whitley into the house. Thank goodness she'd already read it by the time I had my flip out session...lol She never did ask where the book was though. ;-)
Interesting thing about my mom. She had a few college courses here and there but never got a degree. She was, however, the most well educated woman I ever knew - because she read.
Can't get rid of me that easily. I come and go like the proverbial penny -- moods (like saddlerider) and all that, plus my brain balks some times. I couldn't help but make the crack about losing track of what hub we're commenting on, because we do really get caught up in one, and we're all off and running! And you know, I saw that last sentence/question coming -- even crossed my mind as I asked and almost didn't; but I thought, oh, maybe he'll tell. Hah.. Ain't walkin' into that again! I'm like you, We read this cryptic "this is the way it is" type comments from Will, but we forget he so often writes with such a twist that if he questions his own statement, you've written one heck of a hub! Personally, I love sci fi, and my fave author is Jeffrey Carver--not scary,, just sci-fi, if you want to check it out M2C.. His "Dragons in the Stars" is far from scary but magical set in distant future. I like others, and have one book on the UFO sightings in Gulf Breeze, Florida (lived very close there for quite a while). Since it's such a small, close-knit area with major military facilities close-by east and west a lot of people said oh, stuff like that only happens around Area 51 or wherever. Really fascinating read for anyone who's looking for a little-known area 'madness'. However, Alastar, when you capped 'Alien' all I could see was a very non-benevolent Alien attacking Sigourney Weaver--still one of my all-time fave sci-fi's. Anyway, I'll get outta here and see who brings up which planet next. I've got a story to write. I read too much!
jager and Alastar, wanna hear a secret? I tried to read communion in high school. I got to the end of the prologue and was so deeply terrified that I couldn't read anymore. Books in my house were sacred, so we NEVER threw them away. I hid it behind the bed in our sofa sleeper so I didn't have to look at the alien on the front and remember Streiber's prologue. It was absolutely horrifying to me. I've never tried again, either.
Not since I read the book 'Communion' have I found anythng this remotely interesting. What makes these stories so interesting is that there peppered with small doses of reality to make you begin to wonder: "What if?"
Great stuff, and I'm going with fiction.
I think.
Tey, I love it..."He's got my back!" But it's so, so true. Even when we may be a little reckless, it's good to know He never lets go!
Alastar, I'm totally with Tey on this one. A good hub will always spark great conversation in the comments. :) But the appreciation is certainly mutual, my dear!
Oh, Alastar, M2C and I had every faith you'd get in on this since we started on YOUR hub! But isn't it great when you write one that gets everybody going, and you wind up with comments that make you wonder if everybody is taking over? I could sound like a little kid and say, "she started it!" but I'd have to admit to keeping it up! - Happens often on really good hubs, and this one is! Did I tell you how much I loved the pics? I'm curious--who did the drawing? find it somewhere? way cool
Ok.....very clever, twisty and entertaining...a man speaks to himself; revealing a bit of both sides...internal and external dwelling in extraterrestial possibilities. Walking on the edge of awareness and repose...waking to a dream within a dream..was it a dream? Now...having a bit of insight into this...which is unfair and yet, appreciated....I think this is a recreation of an experience which did happen but, how the heck can I tell if it was "real, " or not...and, btw...what is REAL? It is relative and, relatively speaking, this is the real dealio!
Oh, honey, have you ever got it so right! Wish more people would remember he's a "dad"--would kinda help some people put things in perspective! Love it! My son enjoys his persona as a dad w/extra respect. I like so much (though a few people think it's sacrilegious) He says: "hey, man, I'll be ok 'cause He's got my back!"
Teylina, we are hitting the same wave, that's for sure, sister! And, when it comes to it, living as Christ means doing what we're supposed to, I think. And, I don't think Jesus EVER limited his Dad! ;-)
M2C, oh I'm in a mood! You're going along some very right-on wavelengths, and I appreciate every comment. Personally, I consider myself a basically spiritual person as much as I can be with all my human foibles! I try to live as a Christian (that is, Christlike), not the type which Ghandi said was not what he saw as Christian. I do believe in a divine being/persona w/a name (WE have 'em, why shouldn't he? I prefer Yahweh or Jah) as the Creator of everything out there. I believe in using the Bible as a basis for living standards--which brings me to your comments: how can any of us expect to LIMIT what a Creator can do if (as the scriptures say) he has named every star and can count the grains of sand! Finite? There can be no scientist, no one anywhere, who really, really knows what he's done or can do, and I'm fed up with the ones who "know"! Got nothing against science, but no matter how one believes, 'I got no respect' for people who simply won't use any kind of open mind when it comes to our planet/universe. Anyway, whether you and I agree or not, I do appreciate the way you put things. And, ALASTAR, me mon, I like the way you Write! But think I forgot to tell you how much I enjoyed every single picture! Photos of space are awesome whether one believes in UFO's or not! And I found the cute drawing the end enchanting. Thanks.
Well written. I'm not a UFO believer but I enjoyed reading it anyway.
Rob
Hi, Teylina, and thank you! Alastar, you know what burns me...lol...the "scientific" minds that so limit the universe they claim is infinite. I agree that it is an individual's choice to believe what they will, but I often find it incredibly contradictory for the scientifically inclined to talk about the infinite universe, but then to be so quick to put limits on the experiences of those within that infinite universe.
I personally feel that we should be as open to new and infinite experiences as we can be. I don't want to leave my life knowing that I spent it all trying to limit my God (or the Creative force of the Universe). You know what I mean?
Alastar, you've done it again--left me speechless (rare). mmm? Either or? You or him? Gut instinct says a little bit of everything and both. But maybe nothing, and neither??? (Mel Gibson?--haha) Oh, well, doesn't matter, 'cause I loved reading it! M2C, great comment! Yeah, "what IS up with that?" Up/awesome!
Excellent story. I'm not a believer because I haven't seen it yet. LOL
The Frog
Hi! Tarheel Great Hub! Fiction or non-fiction, i think a little of both. Canook
Whether fiction or fantasy, I will not venture a guess. BUT, sure made for a damn good story. AND, kept me on the edge of my seat. Here's what I think. If God can make and populate earth - who's to say he can't populate the OTHER planets he's made. And, you know what I always find interesting. There are folks who believe in ET life and who believe in UFO sightings, but not in God.
What's up with that?
Great hub, my friend! UP and awesome. (Hope you're managing to keep the authorities off your back about it!) ;-)
Hi, Alastar, Hmmm! methinks that maybe him and you were the same person? you are just too scared to tell us you believe in UFO's! ha ha or maybe not.......! great read though! cheers nell
Alastar, a good man is hard to find and here you are helping another one escape lol
Truth is stranger than fiction and this could be either or a combination of both. In any regard, another great and interesting read.
Even hard nosed pessimists cannot deny noting the fact that dreams can and do become real...and I use the term dream in the most scientific sense.;)
It's real! You experienced this. And, not to sit on the fence but, I believe it is "really" something of both. I'm a believer! Call me crazy but, either, Alastar, you're an exceptionally descriptive writer with great ability to convince...or...I'm a few cards short of a deck!
This held my attention, drew me in to the end. The conclusion is perfect...for a story or for the true thing. You've done well, Alastar...now..
Do I pass?

That's quite a compliment coming from a writer and researcher such as yourself, thank you Mark. If something like a book were to ever happen you'd definitely get a personally signed first edition. Appreciate the votes and encouragement Mark, take care my friend and keep on writing your awesome articles.
